A Much Needed Lunch

Had this wonderful lunch at French Loaf, Minto Park, below Fortis Medical Centre.

In frame – Lime Ice Tea, Peach Ice Tea, Chicken Penne Pasta with tangy tomato sauce made from Sun Dried tomatoes and Chicken Tikka Pizza.

Service was very slow but the food tasted good. We ordered Chicken Tikka Pizza but the chicken pieces did not seem to be like one. The pieces were even overcooked.
The pasta comes with two slices of garlic bread and the taste was good as well.
The iced teas were praiseworthy. Quantity was good as well.

Spring Time!

Holi is one of those festivities which mark the beginning of Spring, as per Indian Culture and traditions. With the onset of the sweetest season, flowers bloom with all its beauty and elegance. This is the season when the air gets sweeter than fruits charging the atmosphere with freshness. Imbibing joy from every corner it fills ours lives with colour and happiness. The makeover nature gets at this time of the year is worth appreciation. What men are incapable of doing even after several trials of endeavor, nature does it all with just the touch of a season. Every transition from one to the other teaches many things and shares some important tips.

Likewise, Spring speaks about greenery and how to retain such a beauty all throughout, even if Winter tries to take away lustre with its dryness. Both in nature and in life, green is the symbol of rejuvenation. So to nourish and enhance smoothness and vigor, keep in mind the following suggestions. If not all, try to follow some of them to have a healthier life:
• Drink right amount of water that is required by the body, at least 3 litres per day. This brings back the shine and keeps skin soft.
• Eat as much as green vegetables as possible that are available at this time of the year. All of them have high nutrition content that inhibits indigestion.

• Have some fruits, especially the seasonal ones. These mainly contain vitamins A,B, C and E which revitalizes skin and hair.
• Roam about in the natural beauty so that it soaks the heart in enthusiasm and spirit.

• Take in fresh food items as much as possible.

And, don’t forget to enjoy Spring!!

When mountains serve

Chicken Momo – all the way from Gangtok

With a plate of such amazing breakfast in hand, amidst the beauty clad mountains in cold weather, the only thing that came in mind was LIFE HAS NEVER BEEN SO BEAUTIFUL ❤️
These soft and succulent bombs melted in mouth. Adding the juicy sauce to it increased the craving even more.

To the Craving Pumpkins this was the best breakfast we have ever had. Our metropolitan lives surely does lack some taste. Food so simple yet elegant was defined here today.

We are lost into the simplicity. The only thing we can think of now is
“Saundarya Beech Ramailo”

Dawki

World is such a beautiful place, full of colours, shapes and stories. The mega creation can never be reversed nor remade.

Craving Pumpkins were in Shillong, Meghalaya last winter and the place in frame is Dauki or Dawki. It is the India-Bangladesh Border in the West Jaintia Hills.

The beautiful river River Umngot adds to the place’s beauty. It Facilities of boating let’s you experience the water and gives you gorgeous memories. The Dawki-Tambil border provides an air of nostalgia bringing back the memory of sacrifices.

Such a beautiful place with such beautiful story could rarely be found. Craving Pumpkins would suggest the place a must visit one. Hope, you will love it too ❤️

Some Momo time!

Wow Momo is a food junction that serves one of the best momo. The item list is amazing, and dishes are both prepared and served with great neatness. The Pumpkins went to this outlet situated at Kamalgazi in Narendrapur and ordered some preparations that turned out to be lusciously delectable. Here’s what was eaten up voraciously-
Food: Tandoori Butter Chicken Momo, which tasted like having a butter chicken mixing well with all the spices. Too yummy, too good.

Chicken Au gratin Momo, covered on the outside with lots of cheese and on the inside with cheesy Momo. This one was cheesilicious!

Ambience: It had nice, pleasant environment filled with the smell of delicious hot momo. The sitting arrangement was proper.

Service: Associates were very well behaved, and attended us precisely.

Taste: It was heavenly, especially the Tandoori momo.

The Pumpkins would give

4/5 to the food,

3.5/5 to the ambience,

4/5 to the service, and

4/5 for the tastes.

With all of its soft, melting momo Wow Momo is a superb eatery and is pocket-friendly too.

Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Herb Rice

Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Herb Rice is a combo offered by Bite o Bite Continental.
Located in Prasad Nagar, it serves very tempting continental food. Craving Pumpkins ordered this very dish through #zomato as a home delivery. The delivery was fast and the food was piping hot. Quantity was also enough for a person.
The combo comprised of grilled chicken marinated in Jerk marination and served along with Herb rice and costed only 200 INR per portion.
The rice was well fragrant and very nicely cooked, however, the chicken was overcooked and therefore was hardened and was too spicy for our tastes. The combo overall tasted good.
To rate Craving Pumpkins would give the dish – 3/5

For some warmth

Imagine seeping through a bowl of soup 🍜 in a cold chilly weather, wrapped in a load of woollens 🧥 and enjoying the beauty of nature 😍😍 Life seems so perfect, right!!! We did live this moment while travelling @dooars_hills.

Craving Pumpkins were in Darjeeling and this very Vegetable Clear Soup garnished with croutons became the perfect companion.
Though croutons are not a good accompaniment to clear soups, but this time trust us the experience was heavenly 😊

Giving warmth to the chill it added memories and flavours to the whole tour. This very simple yet gorgeous recipe could be revived even at home. We enjoy the dish almost every weekend. The soup has now become a part of our life. Try it out, you’ll love it too❤️
